In a time of desperation, Lorena Halliday's father sells her into service to wealthy Lord Fairfield. After years of servitude and unwanted sexual advances, Lorena finds the courage to run away, only to be accosted by a man with a knife.
Standing on the roof of his home, Demetri witnesses the attack and goes to the young woman's rescue. After dispatching her assailant, Demetri takes the unconscious woman to an inn and procures a room for her. After paying for a week in advance, he carries her up the stairs and tucks into bed. I'm so excited! I just finished reading through Surrender the Dawn, which will be out later this year. I'd forgotten how much I like this story. I can't wait for you to read it!
I'm happy to say that it looks like In the Dark of the Night will be published this month! Hopefully by next week!
I finished my sequel to Enchant the Night and sent it off to my editor. Now comes the hard part. Will she like it? I certainly hope so You can get a peek at it on the In The Works page.
I've been waiting so long, it's hard to believe Night's Illusion will be out in only four monnts. Only. Hah. It seems like I've been waiting forever.
